An expansion bellow is used to prevent general movement not absorbed by the hose. This can be caused by thermal growth, equipment movement, vibration or pressure pulsation. They have many advantages, including reducing load and temperature loss, and the absorbance of axial, lateral and angular movements.

We can design an expansion bellow to your specifications and most commonly work with stainless steel 304, 321, 316, monel and inconel, but can also produce to any other special metal requirement. We also now supply COMFLEX deep form expansion bellows, which offer greater flexibility than a conventional bellow – in smaller spaces.
Every expansion bellow goes through rigorous testing and controls at each stage of the manufacturing process and before they leave the factory to meet Arcflex product standards. We have a comprehensive testing facility at our site in Leek which offers non destructive testing on all metal hoses and expansion bellows, to test components without permanently damaging them.
