Stainless steel braided hose is one of the most popular options for hoses and is a common sight in many industries. Here at Arcflex we manufacture a wide range of stainless steel braided hose in house, using state of the art equipment to produce high quality stainless steel braided hose time and time again. As well as a variety of standard hoses we also can produce non-standard braids upon request.
Stainless braid is designed to be used around the corrugated tube to try and improve the strength of the hose. Without this a hose can be vulnerable to elongation when pressurised. It’s usual that one layer of braid will be added to prevent this, and this is usually a basket weave. Braided hose is not only strong but also incredibly flexible, moving with the original corrugations of the hose. Our basket weave is industry standard and we can offer it in single and double layers.

In addition to our basket weave stainless steel braided hose we also have our Arcflex stainless steel braided braid range, and there are many advantages to using this over standard braided hose:
- At least 50% stronger than standard basket weave braid.
- Used for specialist purposes such as when shock pressures need facilitating.
- Perfect for use on larger diameter hoses to achieve higher pressures.
- Braided braid is much stronger than regular braid and thus has better durability and integral strength.
