Standard Testing
At Arcflex Hose & Bellows, we have some of the very best facilities and a full testing department with the latest equipment. We will leak and pressure test your products in line with industry standard and your specified requirements, including air under water, pressure, helium and vacuum leak testing. We hold a BSI 9001:2000 accreditation which allows us to provide a pressure test certificate together with our products.
NDT – Non-destructive tests
Non-Destructive Testing is a great solution as it allows the testing of components without permanently altering the products tested.
Dye penetrant inspection (DPI)
Dye Penetrant Inspection is a cost-effective way of locating surface-breaking defects in metals, such as hairline cracks, surfaces porosity, fatigue cracks on in-service components or leaks in new products, and in addition to our standard testing procures, we offer fluorescent and colour contrast liquid penetrant testing upon request.
The standards we follow are ASTM E1417 and BS EN ISO 3452-1. However, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you require alternative standards applied.
Radiography (X-Ray)
Another very reliable, versatile and broadly used non-destructive testing method is Radiography. Welding defects and hidden flaws like insufficient penetration, voids, cracks and porosity or inclusions of flux or oxide or lack of fusion, can be detected and provide an additional layer of security and safety for your most critical applications.
