Arcflex Range of Stainless Steel Braid
       

Arcflex stainless steel braid is designed for external use around corrugated tube to combat elongation and increase the tubes internal pressure rating. Unbraided corrugated tube elongates when pressurised above a certain level. To restrain this, a minimum of one
external layer of braid is recommended, preventing longitudal expansion of the corrugated tube and thus increasing the internal pressure strength of the tube. Our braids are also commonly used to sheeth hydraulic hoses, rubber hoses, plastic hoses and a wide range of other applications.

Applications

Arcflex’s wire braid is manufactured in our state of the art in house braid production facilities. Available in a variety of standard coil lengths and special lengths available upon request. Braid is highly flexible and follows the movement of the hose. Excellent chemical resistance, durability and corrosion resistance.
 
Non-standard braids can be produced upon request.
Our braid is available in 304, 316, Monel, Bronze, Kevlar and a wide range of polymer braids.
Braid can be supplied loose, braided directly onto hose or supplied as part of hose assemblies

Basket Weave Stainless Steel Braid Range
 
Arcflex standard basket weave stainless steel braid is the industry standard overbraid for flexible hose assemblies. With our wide size range and our flexibility in design due to our in house manufacturing facilities we can offer braid for any application. Single braid layers or double braid layers for higher pressures available, this type of braid is highly cost competitive and is mainly used for smaller diameters.

Arcflex Special Stainless Steel Braided Braid Range
Arcflex stainless braided braid is at least 50% stronger than standard basket weave braid. It is used on larger diameter hoses to achieve higher pressures. Ideal for pulsating and shock pressures or high vibration conditions.
Braided braid increases the durability of the corrugated tube whilst reducing the risk of wear on the corrugations typically associated with standard basket weave braid.
