Arcflex are approved to manufacture under all categories of The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EC) and can design, manufacture and release assemblies CE marked with full certification.

The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EC)
Arcflex are approved to manufacture under all categories of The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EC) and can design, manufacture and release assemblies CE marked with full certification.
It is important to note the following;
- The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED/97/23/EC) became mandatory law in May 2002.
- The purpose of the PED is to harmonise standards across the EU regarding the design, manufacture and supply of all pressure equipment to the market.
- Hose and bellows assemblies without PED approval could result in prosecution and penalties, on conviction, of a fine or imprisonment.
- Supplying hose and bellows assemblies where the working pressure is greater than 0.5 bar and a calculation must be conducted on equipment with a nominal bore greater than 1 inch (DN 25).
